Chicago Transit Authority

When I think about this album, it conjures up memories of listening to “Saturday in the Park” at my cousin Frankie’s house in Elmwood Park. I turned eight years old in 1974 and thought that it was the coolest thing that his family had a jukebox in their basement. The songs from this album got the most play. Funny how much they appealed to a kid in the Seventies and how much that grown kid still enjoys them a half-century later. Amazing band, with Robert Lamm on keyboards and lead vocals, Terry Kath on guitar and lead vocals, and Peter Cetera on bass and lead vocals. My first crossover into brass music with that big beautiful sound.
